Apatite gem stone rough in a good facet grade is another of the many desirable gems found in Madagascar. We are proud to
offer fine apatite rough to you.
Apatite gem stone rough
is viewed by most as an exotic, and somewhat unique gem material. It
appeals to consumers and collectors because of the striking colors and
rarity.
You can now buy Madagascar gem rough
in quantity directly from a strong source in Madagascar... conveniently, from our USA
office.
You can avoid the export and import problems and fees.
Until Madagascar Gems began selling
high-grade rough gem stones on the internet, the only way to get good
Madagascar apatite was to go there.
Apatite is actually three different minerals depending on the
predominance of either fluorine, chlorine, or the hydroxyl group.
That makes apatite a calcium fluoro (or chloro, or hydroxyl) phosphate.
Did you know that apatite is the mineral that makes up the teeth in all vertebrate animals
as well as their bones.
We offer some of the finest apatite to be found! Our
emerald green apatite is gorgeous. The color is so nice that most dealers
do not heat it to blue.
However... and if you must, this material can be heat
treated to a beautiful paraiba blue. Be advised that as with all
apatite heat treatment, there is significant risk of loss due to breakage.
Apatite in a neon or paraiba green (bottom
photo) also occurs. These beautiful stones are available in small
quantities. Use the link below to email us for availability and prices.
Natural yellow apatite is occasionally
available in small quantity.
Natural blue apatite is also available in small
quantities. Again, email us for availability and prices.
